San Francisco Giants vs. Washington Nationals Prediction
The Nationals were led by a strong performance from 26-year-old right-hander Jake Irvin. Irvin went 6.1 allowing zero runs with five strikeouts to his credit. Washington was slated to be the second-worst team in baseball this year, only behind the Oakland Athletics. Despite being five games under .500, Washington has overachieved to start the young season. This young team is searching for answers and trying to see who they can build their team around.
San Francisco, meanwhile, has struggled so far this season, representing an overall record of 15-19. San Fran came into this year as a bit of a mystery team but from a betting standpoint, they were not slated to be a playoff team. They play in a tough division in the NL West and have ahead a lot of turnover on their roster.
One guy that will be a Giant for the long term is tonight’s starting pitcher Logan Webb. Webb has been one of the best arms in baseball over the last couple of years. Webb has been up and won this year, supporting a record of 2-5 and an era of 3.80. Opposing Webb will be veteran Southpaw Patrick Corbin.
I am going to fade Corbin tonight and sip on some juice and back the Giants on the -1 line tonight. I expect Logan Webb to bounce back after a lackluster start to this season and feel as if he will be to limit this Nationals lineup tonight and help the Giants bounce back as well. On the flip side, fading Patrick Corbin should has been a great way to make money this year, and I believe that narrative will continue tonight.
