These two pitchers have already faced off this year. That game ended 1-0. Obviously, it would be crazy to think that happens twice, but the game should still be lower scoring, and Vegas seems to agree with a 7.5 total.
Eduardo Rodriguez has been electric. In his last 34.2 innings, he has allowed just two runs total. The guy is pitching like a Cy Young candidate and has already throttled Cleveland this year. In his lone outing against Cleveland, he threw eight innings of shutout baseball. The Tigers shouldn’t lose by 6+ and should avoid Jose Ramirez for our NRSI.
All we need from Peyton Battenfield is three outs in the second without allowing a run. Although Detroit has looked better this year, they are far from a competent offense and rank in the bottom five in home runs in the league. Battenfield had a relatively stress-free second inning against them last time, so I am hoping for the same.
