On some books, this will be referred to as a “Double Result.” Essentially we need a lead after five innings to win outright. To find this on DraftKings, scroll over to “Game Parlays” under the game, and it should be on the far right.
We are trusting Shane McClanahan today. This guy is a monster, and he has a 2.34 ERA with a 7-0 record on the season. He faces a Milwaukee Brewers team hitting just .216 against lefties. Shane finally looked human in his last outing against the New York Yankees, but he doesn’t typically have back-to-back stinkers, and I’m expecting him to bounce back like he always does.
In order to win this bet, we need some runs. Tampa Bay faces Adrian Houser, who is a server of meatballs. The guy only has two outings on the year but has over a five ERA. Last year in his over 20 starts, he had a 4.73 ERA, which is over double what McClanahan’s is. Tampa Bay has some great bats and should do damage.
The public will be all over Tampa Bay, but I’m okay riding with the public favorite here. Tampa has an advantage with their bats, and starting pitching and the bullpens are nearly the same. This is the best way to avoid paying the -245 on the Rays moneyline. We just need a lead after five, which I deem very likely. Let's roll!
