The San Francisco Giants have been playing some of their best baseball of the season as of late. They are 8-2 over their last ten games against the Philadelphia Phillies, Miami Marlins, Minnesota Twins, and Milwaukee Brewers so that 8-2 record holds more weight as it has come against some quality teams.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. San Francisco Giants Prediction
The Giants have been getting it done on the mound lately, as they have only allowed an average of 3.0 runs per game during this current 8-2 stretch. While their staff has figured it out, their bats have still been struggling mightily, particularly with runners in scoring position. The Giants are just 8-45 across their last four games with runners in scoring position, and before last night (where they went 3-9), they were just 5-36 with RISP in the three games prior, which equates out to a .139 average… not good.
This does mean that they have been doing a solid job of getting a lot of runners on, but this is a league all about production, and the ability to get runners on base doesn’t mean much if you can’t hit them in. Things do not get much easier tonight for Giants hitters as they will face Freddy Peralta, who has done some of his best work at home this season. Peralta comes into this game with a home record of 4-1 with an ERA of just 2.43. Compare that to his road record and ERA of 1-2/6.45, and it paints a picture of a guy who much prefers to pitch in the sanctity of his own ballpark, where he will be tonight.
The Brewers will face Alex Wood, who has been serviceable this season but may be on a decline. Wood has a 6.30 ERA across his last three appearances, including 13 hits and three homers allowed. The Brewers are a team who can have an anemic offense at times but have a lot of power and hit a lot of home runs as a team, as they are just outside the top 10 in that category.
I expect the Brewers to tag Wood for a few long balls and Freddy Peralta to hold it down on the other side as well. That said, I am rolling with Brewers F5 ML at -128 and Brewers Full Game ML at -125 for 1U each as my most confident MLB plays of the day.
