Chicago Cubs vs. Cincinnati Reds Prediction
The Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs will meet up from Wrigley Field on Sunday afternoon as the Cubs attempt to avoid a sweep. While I do think the Cubs will win this game today and avoid the sweep, what really matters here is who is going to hit a home run.
The Reds will send right-hander Graham Ashcraft to the bump. Ashcraft has put up some solid numbers for the Reds this year, representing a record of 2-3. Ashcraft has actually been better than his numbers indicate, as he has just had a few rough starts mixed into what has otherwise been a good year. What we care about today is finding who can take Ashcraft deep and get us rich. Lucky for us, I found the guy.
We will be placing our money on Ian Happ to hit a home run today. Happ has pretty good numbers versus Ashcraft in his career in a decent sample size. Happ has struggled a bit from a power standpoint this season hitting just four home runs, and as of late, he has not left the yard. But we all know that means that he is due today! Let’s get rich on this bet.
