We are notorious for taking NRSIs over NRFIs, but we’re flipping the script. I really like the no-runs first inning here and love the price we’re getting it at.
Detroit Tigers vs. Chicago White Sox Prediction
First off, Eduardo Rodriguez is pitching for Detroit. Although he has come down to earth slightly in his last two starts, he’s still pitching at an elite level and should continue to do so. He will face Tim Anderson, Eloy Jimenez, Luis Robert Jr., and possibly Andrew Vaughn and Yasmini Grandal. The 1-5 hitters for the White Sox hit a combined 6-39 against him. That’s a .153 batting average.
On the flip side, we have Dylan Cease. He has admittedly had a down year for his standards. That said, he still has elite stuff, and Detroit struggles mightily against right-handed pitching hitting just .229 against them. Tigers 1-6 hitters are 4-32 against Cease lifetime, which is just a .125 average.
This game is played at Comerica Park, which is a pitcher-friendly park, and both pitchers have a great history against the opponent. Six outs and a dream once again; this time, we’re doing it the mainstream way. Let's roll!
