The Kansas City Royals and the St. Louis Cardinals will meet up from Busch Stadium on Tuesday night for an inter-league matchup. Kansas City took Game 1 as they were led by a dominant pitching effort yesterday where they held the Cardinals hitless for the first seven innings yesterday.

Kansas City entered this series as one of the worst teams in baseball, as they currently represent an overall record of 17-38. This roster simply does not have a lot of talent on it, but there are a few young players on this Royals team that they feel they can build around in the near future. One of those young stars is Bobby Witt Jr., considered one of the best young players in all of baseball.
Meanwhile, St. Louis entered this season as the favorite to win the NL Central. The Cardinals were a playoff team a season ago but lost in the first round when the Phillies took them down, winning the series 2-0. St. Louis got off to a rough start this season, but they played better in May despite yesterday's poor showing. Today the Royals will send veteran Zack Greinke to the mound. Opposing Grenkie will be the Lizard King Mike Mikolas.
I will be backing the Cardinals on the -1 line today. I feel the Cardinals' bats will break out today after yesterday's extremely poor showing. This is one of the best offensive lineups in baseball, and facing a pitcher like Greinke, they should be able to put up runs today. On the flip side, this is a Royals lineup that has shown us their inability to score runs consistently, and I feel as if their bats will regress today after last night.
