The Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Mets will meet up from the city that never sleeps on Wednesday night for an old-time NL East rivalry. The Mets won game one last night as they blanked the Phillies lineup, winning the game 2-0. The Phillies did not have a runner reach second base all game, and they will hope to bounce back today.
The Phillies caught fire at the back end of last season as they went on a run all the way to the World Series. This season has not gotten off to a great start for Philadelphia. The Phillies enter play playing to the tune of a 25-29 record. Despite the poor record, this is a team that remains confident that they can string together wins and flip this season around.
New York, meanwhile, has been playing much better as of late, and last night's win put them back over the .500 mark. Entering the season, the Mets had some of the best odds to win the world series as they made multiple big-time moves in the off-season, including adding the reigning Cy Young award winner Justin Verlander. Philadelphia enters play tonight as a -115 favorite.

Harper will be facing Carlos Carrasco, who has been throwing batting practice so far this season. Carrasco has been brutal pitching at home this year, representing an era of 10.24.
To be fair, he has pitched just 9.2 innings at home this year, but the stat that is concerning for Carrasco is that he has allowed three home runs at home in 9.2 innings. Harper has seen Carrasco plenty of times in his career, and despite having multiple hits, he is yet to take him deep. I feel like tonight could be the night, and I can not pass it up at this number.
