It's Dinger Tuesday, and home run bettors worldwide are gearing up for some big wins. Remember to practice bankroll responsibility and maintain a good balance while enjoying these high-odds plays. Don't solely rely on low implied probability bets and parlays.
When discussing home run picks, it's hard not to mention Coors Field, and today is no exception. Today is a particularly interesting day in Coors because the Rockies will be starting Dinelson Lamet, who currently has a 13.17 ERA and .350 opponent OBA. The Giants are definitely well suited to take advantage of this matchup with all the strong left-handed bats in their lineups, and I think Lamonte Wade Jr. is a good fit tonight. The lefty has hit seven of his eight home runs against right-handed pitchers and should have 5-6 ABs batting lead-off. I like him for a hit, but we are getting decent odds here.
One of the most important factors to look at is the weather/ballpark conditions. Ballpark Pal currently has Coors conditions at +25% from HRs, meaning we’re going to be seeing even more home runs than usual. Beyond Wade, I think Mitch Haniger and JD Davis are other guys I will be sprinkling on. Davis has the best price on FanDuel, so I’ll probably use the promo bet there and place Wade on a Kambi book, which has the best price.
Oh, uh, it’s June, and the Phillies are starting to get hot. They also happen to find themselves in a great matchup today against Tyler Alexander, who has allowed five HRs in 24 innings pitched this season. While Alexander has an impressive .207 OBA versus left-handed pitchers, rights are hitting .343 and slugging .543 against him this season.
Nick Castellanos is someone that has been consistent in an underperforming Phillies lineup, hitting .313 this season against left-handed pitching that improves to a .333 average and .552 slugging. Trea Turner is coming off a two-home run day, and I’m looking to capitalize on that momentum. He’s been .100 points better slugging against left-handed pitching and finally looks more comfortable at the plate. Turner is another guy that has traditionally been a slower starter, but I think it’s time for him to go on a huge run.
