No juice reducer here for this NRSI. I’m fine paying the -140, as we only pay the juice if we lose. There’s a plenty of reasons to believe in this play; where do we begin first?
Cleveland Guardians vs. Boston Red Sox Prediction
First off, this game has a 7.5-run total. Games with this exact total are normally primary targets for NRSI’s and they end up being low scoring games. Although neither pitcher on either side is elite by any means, they are serviceable guys having nice seasons.
On one side, we have Tanner Bibee. The rook is really lighting it up this year; he holds a 3.20 ERA and should keep it rolling today against Boston. Bibee will be pitching at home, where he has better splits and holds a 2.74 ERA. Boston may make this a sweat, but I like them to stay off of the board in the second; they have scored in the second inning just once in their past nine games and not once in June.
On the flip side, we have Kutter Crawford. Unrelated, but that’s an elite pitcher name. Crawford isn’t primarily a starter but isn’t completely a stranger to the concept. He has started in three games this season and is in line for a 4th tonight. Cleveland bats just .232 against right-handed pitching, and Crawford has a nice history against these bats. In 35 at-bats, Cleveland has mustered just eight hits against him lifetime. We will likely avoid Jose Ramirez, who is due some bombs soon.
Lastly, the weather favors us heavily today. The wind will be coming in for us, and it will hopefully keep the ball in the park enough for us to cash our six outs and a dream. Neither offense scares me too much despite we’re trusting very mid tier pitching. This bet just feels like one that will keep the streak alive; going with your gut is sometimes the best research you can do. Let's roll!
