Well, I was on this exact same play in the second game of this 2011 World Series rematch between the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers last night, and I think we have another solid shot at it again here this evening.

Texas Rangers vs. St. Louis Cardinals Prediction
This St. Louis team is in a really excruciatingly piss-poor spot right now, and the outlook appears bleak. They have MVPs, the potential for one of the game's best lineups, and so much young talent, but they have been underperforming, plagued with injuries, and the pitching has been awful. Jack Flaherty is on the mound for them tonight and is actually one of my favorite arms the Cardinals have, but it is just hard to expect him to shut down this red-hot Texas squad at home.
Jon Gray has great stuff and will have to step up here down the back half of the season now that Jacob DeGrom is undergoing Tommy John surgery, and while I think he does, this Cardinals team is desperate right now and still talented enough to tag a few runs on him.
The Cardinals have been scoring early to make things competitive, but Texas has been burying them every time after the fact; if we can get the bats going early like I think we can, we see plenty of scoring here today. Texas is one of the league's best teams for home totals at 20-9 for the over now this season.
