We don’t take plus-money bets too often, but this one has undeniable value. The Tampa Bay Rays take on the pitiful Oakland Athletics today, who have been among my favorite teams to fade.

Oakland Athletics vs. Tampa Bay Rays Prediction

On the season, Oakland hit righties at a .217 clip; Zach Eflin is an extremely solid righty pitcher who has gone 5+ innings in all 11 starts this season. This is important because he must go five to get the recorded win, and Tampa must hold the lead after he exits. Tampa is -160 to lead after five innings which bodes well for us.

Eflin has only allowed three RBIs to these batters in 43 at-bats against him. Oakland has actually been hitting the ball better lately, but this feels like a game they go back to reality. Eflin has an 8-1 official record, meaning he has the recorded win eight of 11 times, which is 73% of the time. Getting +125 odds here are incredible.

Pitching for Oakland is James Kaprielian, who holds a 7.21 ERA. I would expect the lethal Tampa offense to give us some run support here. He has played them once this year already and allowed seven runs in 4.2 innings. If he does the same thing here, we should easily cash. Let's roll!
