The St. Louis Cardinals are undoubtedly the best underperforming team in all of Major League Baseball thus far on the season. We have not even reached the All-Star Break yet, the season is still young, and I find it very hard to believe a squad this talented in an organization that has not missed the playoffs since 2007 is dead in the water, but they need to get things going here in a hurry.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. San Francisco Giants Prediction
The upcoming road trip is no joke on their schedule; they are right in nearly every game they are playing and have had the lead at one point most nights lately. They haven't often found that extra gear to get over the finish line. The injury-plagued outfield surely does not help, but that squad is still more talented enough to win more than they are, and I like them to go out and get themselves a game here tonight.
Jack Flaherty is my favorite arm in the Cardinals' starting rotation, and as of late, we see glimpses of 2019, 2021 J-Flare. Flaherty has allowed fewer than three earned runs in his last six consecutive starts, and I love the swagger he throws with, especially at Busch Stadium.
San Francisco Giant Alex Cobb had a solid start earlier in the season against St. Louis, notching a complete game, but that only means the Birds on the Bat have seen plenty of him this year already and Cobb is nothing too special. He has a 4.62 ERA on the road; look for St. Louis to bounce back and even up the series tonight.
