The Texas Rangers head to the Bronx this weekend for a three-game series against the New York Yankees. The Rangers have been on a tear and are still in first place in the AL West over the Houston Astros with a 46-28 record, slowly catching the Tampa Bay Rays for the lead in the American League. The Rangers have hit righties well all season and have another chance to do so in today's game against Clarke Schmidt. One specific player who has a good matchup is Corey Seager.

New York Yankees vs. Texas Rangers Prediction
The Rangers have been the best team in the league against right-handed pitchers this season, leading the league with a .266 batting average. Part of that success is due to the lefty hitters in the lineup that crush righty pitchers, like Corey Seager. Seager is currently third in the league in batting average against right-handed pitchers with a .365 batting average. He is also second among qualified players in the league with a 1.127 OPS against righties.
My favorite bet for this game is Corey Seager to score one plus run. I also like his bases line, but Schmidt has been walking lefty hitters a lot, and nothing peeves me more than taking bases props and watching the hitter take walks. Also, his over 1.5 bases and over .5 runs is +105 on DraftKings, so we are getting the same line either way. This way, if he is taking walks, he can hit the line for us if he touches home without worrying about bases.
Schmidt is allowing lefties to hit .311 with a .909 OPS this season. Despite having 15 fewer at-bats against lefties, he has given up ten more walks to lefties and one more extra-base hit. It's no surprise lefties hit him better, as is the case for most righty pitchers against lefties, but this matchup is tailor-made for Seager.
Seager has a 12-game on-base streak, and he only needs to get on once for the sluggers behind him to bring him home. Seager is batting second tonight, a prime spot with Nate Lowe, Adolis Garcia, Josh Jung, and Robbie Grossman behind him. Garcia is 2-3 off Schmidt, and Grossman is 4-4. If anyone scores in this game, it will most likely be Marcus Semien or Seager, and Seager has better odds and a better matchup against the pitcher. Let's hit this one at plus money!
