5 minSan Diego Padres vs. Washington Nationals Prediction: Expect Joe Musgrove, Patrick Corbin to Dominate Early
Last night, the San Diego Padres ended the San Francisco Giants’ ten-game winning streak in a 10-0 blowout. Don’t be fooled by this offensive outburst; the Padres are statistically one of baseball's worst offenses. Fading teams coming off monumental blowouts has been a profitable betting system for me over the years, and with the Padres beating the Giants by ten and ending their win streak, tonight is the perfect spot to fade this Padres’ offense.

San Diego Padres vs. Washington Nationals Prediction
Instead of fading the Padres on the moneyline and backing one of the worst teams in baseball to win, let’s fade both of these offenses. The Washington Nationals struggle against right-handed pitching, and Joe Musgrove has been a beast over his last six starts. I don’t see a world where the Nats put up more than two runs against the Padres’ ace.
Patrick Corbin has been getting crushed over his last five starts. Since May 26th, Corbin has given up 19 runs and 40 hits in 28.1 innings. I was shocked to see sportsbooks giving him as much respect as they are with his props. After five horrid starts, Corbin’s outs recorded prop is at 17.5 (the same as Joe Musgrove), his hits allowed is at 5.5 (it’s typically higher), and his earned runs prop is at 2.5. The 33-year-old has been at 3 or 3.5 earned runs allowed for the past couple of weeks. Why has this prop dropped to 2.5 earned runs allowed against a Padres lineup that prefers left-handed pitching, scored ten runs last night, and is very familiar with Corbin’s stuff?
I’ll tell you why… it’s because he is going to deal today. Somehow, someway, he will look like the 2019 World Series Champion version of Patrick Corbin tonight. Oddsmakers are giving Corbin insane amounts of respect with his high prop lines…
Instead of taking the under and having to deal with either of these struggling bullpens, bet the F5 under at 4.5. I don’t see a world where either of these teams puts up more than two runs through the first five innings of this game. Joe Musgrove should dominate the Nats, one of MLB's worst right-handed pitching-facing teams, and Corbin’s props are heavily inflated. Back the F5 under and hold your breath; this one might get sweaty.
