There are plenty of great games on today's MLB slate, and we’re going to the Tampa Bay Rays versus Kansas City Royals for our best bet. Check out my favorite MLB bet for today’s action.

While Zack Greinke has enjoyed a lot of time as a premier pitcher in the MLB, those days are unfortunately over. The 39-year-old pitcher isn't having the greatest season, with a 1-7 record to go with his 5.02 xERA. Additionally, when you march over to baseball savant, his page looks like an igloo! He ranks out bottom 20th percentile in expected batting average and expected slugging, along with strikeout percentage and whiff percentage.
The only category he really excels in are walks, which is fine for me as someone who loves betting on those batter props. One of the other biggest things about Greinke is his home/road pitching splits. He’s had multiple opportunities to leave the Royals, but he clearly loves pitching and living in that Kansas City environment. While home/road splits aren’t always a huge part of my betting process, Greinke is a guy with a long, documented history.
At home this season, he has a 3.77 ERA, while that balloons up to 6.15 on the road, with a 0-4 record. He’s really struggled to limit hard contact, allowing eight home runs in only 33 innings pitched. I think we can expect this Rays lineup to jump out and get right to business. They have a career .385 batting average against Greinke, and I expect that strong home offense to take care of business at Tropicana Field.
