Tuesday's MLB slate is just filled with exciting games. So I decided to cook up a plus-money parlay for tonight's games.
MLB Parlay Breakdown
Leg 1
For our first leg tonight, we are going with a San Diego Padres squad that is coming off of two really poor losses, which are looking to capitalize on where they sit in the standings and right the ship with a win tonight. Dropping a series at home to a bad Washington Nationals squad over the weekend has to sting. While Yu Darvish has looked quite unlike the superstar arm we are used to seeing over the last few years (especially by the numbers), I think he can do enough against a spiraling Pittsburgh Pirates squad tonight.
After that phenomenal run at the opening part of the season, Pittsburgh has fallen back to earth and now sits seven games under .500 again, although with the way the NL Central has been this season, who knows what that means. Rich Hill is a 43-year-old Southpaw about to face a star-studded lineup coming off a day of rest; hungry for a win, I will ride with the Friars.
Leg 2
Last night, the Detroit Tigers were able to catch the Texas Rangers flat-footed at home, which is a rare site to see this season, and I expect the squad from the Lone Star state to bounce back in full force this evening. Texas is the second-best team in the entire league for run differential with a stellar +147 RD on the season and sits just three back from the leader, the Tampa Bay Rays. Texas is 24-14 at home this season, and Martin Perez has been outstanding at home this year with a 1.17 ERA and 4-1 record in Arlington. There really is no need to elaborate much further on this one, and I love the better squad to win.
