Tuesday Home Run Picks
David Peralta HR +520 is currently the best odds. Click here to see which sportsbooks have the best odds for this pick
Connor Seabold is coming in after a pretty rough outing, where he gave up four bombs in a rough showing. He’s been pretty rough overall, but like most Colorado Rockies pitchers, he especially struggles in Coors. Lefties especially crush Seabold, making David Peralta, James Outman, and Freddie Freeman the choices I would look toward in the Los Angeles Dodgers lineup. Peralta is hitting .354 off righties this month, with three home runs and two doubles over his last 50 ABs. Great ballpark conditions; I think we should have a couple of good opportunities here.
Joey Votto HR +520 is currently the best odds. Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds for this pick
Joey Votto is definitely a bit of a wild card at this point in his career, but I like what we’re seeing so far. Joey Votto has two homers in 13 ABs versus righties with a 75% fly-ball rate so far, which lines up with the fairly consistent power we’ve seen recently. Tyler Wells has been good, but he’s still allowed enough power to make this a fine spot to target. I like riding with a hot Cincinnati Reds offense. Lots of great choices, but I like the +520 odds on Votto. Jake Fraley was in close consideration at +560, another great option.
Fernando Tatis Jr. HR +265 is currently the best odds. Click here to see which sportsbooks have the best odds for this pick
Rich Hill is another pitcher I’m perfectly fine targeting tonight. The 43-year-old veteran has given up 11 home runs on the season, all of which ended up coming against right-handed batters. Fernando Tatis Jr. is the most obvious selection, but Manny Machado and Gary Sanchez also both kill lefties. I ended up going with Tatis Jr., mostly due to his amazing form against curveballs this season. Rich Hill is primarily relying on that pitch at this point in his career, and Tatis is in a position to take advantage.
Bryce Harper HR +360 is currently the best odds. Click here to see which sportsbooks have the best odds for this pick
Finally, I’m once again going back to a Philadelphia Phillies offense that hasn't been nice to me this season. Jameson Tallion has really struggled against lefties all season long, allowing a .311 batting average and .632 slugging while only striking out 6% of lefties over the last month. Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper become the obvious looks here. I understand Schwarber is one of the most dominant power hitters in the game, but I like the odds on Harper here, and his pitch splits are better than Schwarber's. Most of his power has come against righties this year, and I’m expecting a good outing.
