I know this market hasn’t been kind to us lately, but I trust the process here. The Los Angeles Dodgers are the better team, no matter how you slice it. We should ideally have the pitching advantage as well.
On the mound for us is the impressive rookie Emmet Sheehan. He has pitched two games thus far and has only allowed two runs over 12 innings. His 1.50 ERA is incredible for his lack of experience. I don’t expect that to hold up forever, but I expect his offense to help him out tonight.
On the mound for the Colorado Rockies is Chase Anderson. He actually has a good history against these bats but is currently pitching some of the worst baseball of his life. In his last 5.2 innings, he has allowed 16 runs. His back-to-back starts of allowing seven and nine runs are outrageously bad.
The Dodgers are the better team, and I don’t expect them to lose the series here. We just need a lead after five. Let's stop the bleeding, and let's roll!
