Welcome back, my OddsChecker Dancers! Tonight we will head to the MLB with my play of the day for the Detroit Tigers versus the Colorado Rockies game. The Rockies have been a really bad team this year and are currently sitting in the basement in the NL West. They have lost 11 out of their last 14 games and just got shellacked by the Dodgers 14-3 last night.

Colorado Rockies vs. Detroit Tigers Prediction
Austin Gomber takes the mound tonight for them in Coors Field, where he is rocking a 5-7 record with a whopping 7.01 era. It’s pretty mind-boggling that a pitcher like this still has his job in the major leagues, but he remains in the rotation. The Rockies are one of the worst teams in the major leagues, and I think we are getting valued on an underrated young Tigers squad.
The Detroit Tigers are 35-45 and just recently split the series with the Texas Rangers, who is one of the best teams in the AL. The Tigers' record doesn’t indicate their improvement this year. Also, they are actually in the hunt for a division title this year. They are currently four games behind the Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Guardians, who are tied at first. The AL Central is very weak, and any of these teams could easily take it. The Twins are two games below five hundred but somehow are in first place.
Tonight, Michael Lorenzen takes the mound, who has nine quality starts out of 13 on the season. He has great command, and his 2-5 record with a 3.97 ERA doesn’t justify his improved year. I see tremendous value with the Tigers on the money line, so I’ll be locking this in tonight. So lace up those shoes and meet me on the dance floor!
