We haven’t taken one of these in a while; been waiting for one I really love. This game has a total of 7.5 runs and has two pitchers that have made us some good money this year. Let's hope they are the gift that keeps giving.
Seattle Mariners vs. Tampa Bay Rays Prediction
Shane McClanahan is on the bump for the Tampa Bay Rays. Last time out, he left early with an injury but seems ready for a full workload today. He holds a 2.23 ERA and 11 wins, which are both MLB’s best among qualified candidates. We should avoid Julio Rodriguez, Ty France, and J.P. Crawford, at least, which is nice. McClanahan has not allowed a second-inning run in his last ten starts.
Bryce Miller is on the mound for the Seattle Mariners tonight. He is the guy I think has a better chance of blowing this for us, but I like him to have a clean second still. If Tampa can get just one hit or walk in the first inning, we should be clear of Yandy Diaz, Wander Franco, Luke Raley, and RandyArozerena. Miller has only allowed a run in the second inning in two out of ten starts, so he has an 80% hit rate.
We will likely avoid some of the MLB’s best hitters and get more warmed-up pitchers in the second inning who are in a groove. Miller is the scarier pitcher to sell of us the two, but he is a better home pitcher, and McClanahan is elite no matter where he plays. We could have gone with a juice reducer, but I want to put respect everyone's sleep schedule so that we will drink the juice. Let's roll!
