Will the Yankees continue their hot streak, or will the second-place Orioles widen the gap in the AL East standings?

New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles Prediction
The Orioles are two games up on the Yankees in the AL East pennant race. This a pivotal series between both ball clubs as we head into the All-Star break. Don’t be fooled by the standings, New York has been the better team of late. The Yankees’ offense has seen an uptick in production since losing Aaron Judge to the IL. The role players at the bottom of the lineup have finally started to show up for this Yankees team, desperately searching for offense.
Not only are the Yankees playing better than the Orioles, they have a great matchup against Dean Kremer tonight. The 27-year-old righty was solid in 2022 but has mightily struggled this season. Kremer owns a 5.04 ERA in 91 innings of work and just got rocked by the Minnesota Twins for seven runs in his shortest start of the season. Kremer has struggled mightily to find a dominant put-away pitch, a dangerous flaw against this scrappy Yankees team.
This Yankees’ lineup hasn’t seen Kremer often, but they have great success in a limited sample. DJ LeMahieu is 7 for 17, Gleyber Torres is 4 for 9, and Giancarlo Stanton is 3 for 5 against the Orioles’ starter. Don’t be surprised if Stanton takes him yard tonight…
Until Kremer develops some sort of put-away pitch, continue to fade him and this slumping Orioles’ lineup. The bottom half of their lineup has looked more like a revolving door of late, and calling up Colton Cowser can only do so much for one of the coldest offenses in baseball. Back the Yankees to hit up Kremer and earn a win at home.
