Since returning to the mound, Luis Severino has struck out 17.9% of batters. In the last month, he's been on par, striking out 17.6% of batters.
But it's not like he's getting easy outs when balls are in play. He's allowed a .235 ISO and wOBA of .384 to 190 batters this season. Severino has allowed plenty of line-drive contact and isn't getting high-ground balls, especially against lefties.
The Orioles will have a lineup filled with lefties tonight. Lefties have hit a .271 ISO and wOBA of .461 in their last 57 plate appearances against Severino.

He'll face a Rangers lineup that has struck out 20.7% of the time. But the lefties in the Texas lineup have combined only to strike out 16% of the time.
Crawford is much better against lefties. He's struck out over 30% of them this season but has only 16.8% of strikeouts against righties. But there's only one real target for Crawford in this lineup.
The lefties have done very well limiting strikeouts against other righties in this Rangers lineup. So I'll take Crawford to go Under his strikeout total.

Julio Urias should bounce back tonight.
He's struck out 22.2% of batters this season but only 21.6% of right-handed batters. He'll face a Pirates lineup filled with only righties. But those righties have combined to strike out 31.5% of the time against lefties in the last month.
The Pirates have five batters striking out at least 29% of the time against lefties in the last month.
Urias didn't get many whiffs or swinging strikes before hitting the injured list. He also didn't look like himself in his first game back on the mound. But he'll gradually improve and has plenty of targets to get to his six strikeouts tonight.
