Well, we have an absolutely loaded MLB slate tonight, and after diving into it this morning, it is safe to say that I love the board. That does not always mean you hit every wager you lay, but I can assure you it feels great locking in bets on a slate that you feel like you are reaching for nothing, just riding the wave. Detroit Tigers vs. Toronto Blue Jays Prediction
Alek Manoah is making his first start back, and I am totally ready to rock the full-blown fade. Aside from one decent double-A start, he did not look good in the time he spent trying to get his game back together, and I see no reason to believe he figured things out. I don't hate the guy, I honestly feel bad for him, considering he was a likable pitcher with some plus-level stuff in the league last season, but everything has gone completely off the rails; maybe it is all because of the pitch clock.
Manoah is 1-7 with a 6.36 ERA in the big leagues on the year after going 16-7 with a 2.24 ERA in the previous season. Whatever he had last year appears to be lost, and until he shows me he has it back, I will fade him, especially in his first start back. Getting sent down to the minor leagues to get some work in and getting absolutely shelled in single-A ball has to be demoralizing. The 25-year-old conceded eleven runs in less than three innings of work in A ball just last week.
