MLB Props Today: Will Stone Garrett, Anthony Rizzo Shine?

In today's article, I give out my favorite batter player props on today's slate. With so many big-name pitchers on the board, find out which two hitters we found value on today.

Today we’re going to be attacking the hits + runs + RBIs market against two very fadeable pitchers. This is one of my favorite batter props markets in the game because you're not just relying on production from one guy, but you can really benefit from team strength against pitchers.

We’ll start with Stone Garrett, who has been one of my favorite Washington Nationals players to bet on this season. The Nationals are notorious in the gambling community for being a more reliable offensive team against lefties, and Garrett is a big reason for that. He’s hitting .280 and slugging .583 against left-handed pitching. He is likely to be moved very high up in the order, most likely either hitting cleanup or in the 5-hole. Great opportunity to play around Lane Thomas, Luis Garcia, Joey Meneses, and Keibert Ruiz, who can all take care of business against lefties.

Anthony Rizzo was another name that jumped out in the never-ending question to fade Jameson Tallion with left-handed pitching. Tallion currently ranks 12th% xBA, 5th% in xSLG and barrell% to pair with a sad 13th% whiff rate. Tallion isn’t missing nearly enough bars to warrant the amount of hard contact, meaning the New York Yankees lineup should take tonight. He's allowing over a .300 batting average and .580 slugging to left-handed hitters, partially due to the lack of success on the fur-seamer/cutter. Rizzo hasn’t had the most success recently, but I’m hoping a matchup against his former team invigorates him.
