MLB Player Props Today - Sunday's White Sox vs. Cardinals Ladder Play
I’m running a total bases ladder for Luis Robert today in what looks like a great matchup for him. He will see the lefty, Steven Matz, who has struggled tremendously this season, especially against right-handed batters. Matz allows a .389 AVG and .558 SLG to opposing right-handed batters on the road. With Matthew Liberatore optioned to Triple-A, and Adam Wainwright injured, Matz is getting the start here and should see more innings than he has in quite some time, which is great news for Luis Robert.
Robert has been known to crush left-handed pitching throughout his career, and this season is no different as he enters this game with a .329 AVG and .329 ISO against left-handed pitching. He has recorded two or more total bases in nine of his last 14 games AVG 3.14 TB in that span. He also tends to play extremely well on Sundays, going for 2+ TB in eight of his last nine with 11 extra-base hits.
I’m opting to ladder Luis Robert’s total bases as opposed to just playing just his 2+ total bases because I like the value we are getting. In the last 25 total games that Luis Robert has recorded at least two total bases, he has also cleared 3+ in 20/25, 4+ in 18/25, and 5+ in 10/25. So when Luis Robert clears his bases, more times than not, he is also clearing the alternate lines. I’m expecting Luis to continue doing just that and rack up the bases for us today in a great spot.
