Baltimore Orioles vs. Miami Marlins Prediction
Baltimore has been one of the best teams in the league this season and are sporting winning records for both their home and away splits, a league second-best 28-17 on the road and 26-18 at Camden Yards. I am beating a dead horse repeating myself at this point, but the facts remain true, and I will repeat it: this Baltimore squad is ready to go. In the last two years, the young talent and pieces they have brought in have become this cohesive unit that collectively just is winning baseball games, plain and simple.
They are hitting the ball incredibly well, so I expect them to do their part offensively at home tonight, especially considering how poorly Sandy Alcantara has been. The young star is having a very down season by his standards, sporting an ERA just shy of five and very few quality starts under his belt this year. I do expect him to find his game again at some point here soon, but right now, he is fade-worthy, and I still believe the Marlins bats can do enough tonight to keep them in the game for a while.
Dean Kremer has been one of the most consistent arms for Baltimore and has won nine games this season, but a lot of that success is thanks to the run support he is constantly receiving when he is on the bump. Kremer is sporting a 4.78 ERA on the year, and this Marlins squad has been winning games for a reason. I expect both squads to show up today and swing the sticks well.
