5 minPhiladelphia Phillies vs. San Diego Padres Parlay: Can Kyle Schwarber, Fernando Tatis Jr. Shine?
The Philadelphia Phillies start the second half of their season out with a date against the San Diego Padres at home in Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies are sitting in third place in the NL East with a 48-41 record, and they have a tough battle for the playoffs with the Marlins and Braves sitting ahead of them. The Padres sit in an even worse spot, currently in fourth place in the NL West, behind the San Francisco Giants, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Los Angeles Dodgers. They have a lot of catching up to do to even earn a wild card spot, let alone win the division. The offenses should start hot in the second half tonight, as it will be a beautiful night with humid air in Philly. That being said, I have two players I like to hit a dinger for a nice payout.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. San Diego Padres Prediction
The Phillies game currently has the highest expected home run percentage boost of any park at +31% on Ballpark Pal. This is because it's a hot and humid night in Philly with the wind blowing out to center field. There are expected to be scattered thunderstorms, which is the reason for the humidity, so as long as they play, which it looks like they should, these two could hit one out.
The first player I like to hit a dinger is Kyle Schwarber. Sure, he's batting .184 this season, but he also leads the Phillies with 22 home runs. In fact, he has 22 home runs on only 61 hits this season, hitting over 33% of home runs when he gets a hit. Not only does he swing for the fences, but he's had success off Darvish, too. In 12 at-bats against Darvish, Schwarber has four hits and two home runs. Darvish has a 6.16 ERA on the road this season and can struggle with the long ball at times. Schwarber has the lowest odds to homer in this game tonight, but that's for a good reason, and we will make it a much better price when we pair it with Tatis Jr.
The other guy who should go yard is Fernando Tatis Jr. Tatis is hitting a much better .288 and has quickly found his groove back after missing a ton of time serving a suspension. Tatis leads the Padres with 16 home runs, and he should have a good matchup against Sanchez tonight. Tatis has been crushing lefties. He is hitting .280 off righties with a .816 OPS, compared to a .314 batting average and 1.043 OPS against lefties. Carlos Sanchez is a lefty, and he has given up at least one home run in his last three starts.
If we put both Schwarber and Tatis to hit a home run in a parlay on FanDuel, it spits out a +1053 return. That means you can play a tenth of a unit and return over a full unit back if this hits. Given that these guys have been crushing the ball, and we have a humid night in Philly to give the balls some extra carry, I like those odds. Let's ride.
