Cincinnati Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers Same Game Parlay

Elly De La Cruz to Record a Hit and a Run

I like Elly De La Cruz today. He has a great matchup with Adrian Houser, who isn’t a guy that gets a lot of strikeouts or swings and misses and is allowing a high hard-hit percentage. This is good news for a guy like De La Cruz who has been striking out at a higher rate as of late. He owns a .349 AVG and .409 ISO versus right-handed pitching at home this season and should have no issues putting the ball in play and getting on base versus Houser, who is allowing .319 AVG and .213 ISO versus left-handed batters on the road. Additionally, Elly has recorded a run in 20 of 23 games where he has recorded a hit or walk, which is a testament to his baserunning and speed.

Christian Yelich to Record a Hit and a Run

Christian Yelich has been phenomenal in the last few weeks. He has a .338 AVG since June 24 and has a hit in 16 of his last 19 games. Additionally, he has scored a run in eight of his last 11 games (14 Total) and will have a great chance of getting on base multiple times this game. I’m expecting him to get five or more plate appearances which increases his chances tremendously to get us our hit and our run. When Yelich sees 5+ PAs, he has a hit in 23 of the last 24 games and 1+ Run in 22 of the last 30 games. Ben Lively’s top two pitches to left-handed batters are his 4-seam fastball and changeup, which are two pitches Yelich hits well. He owns a .375 AVG versus 4 -seams and a .317 AVG versus changeups (to right-handed pitching).

William Contreras 2+ Total Bases

William Contreras is swinging one of the hottest bats in the league right now, with 17 hits in his last nine games. He owns a .447 AVG and .684 SLG in the month of July, and I’m expecting more of the same from him in this matchup. He’ll see the righty Ben Lively who he is 1 for 3 against with a single in his only game played against him. Lively has had his moments but hasn’t been anything special this season, ranking in the bottom 17th percentile in xSLG and bottom 39th percentile in barrel percentage allowed. Contreras has played extremely well on Sundays, going for 2+ total bases in six of the last seven with 4+ total bases in five of the last seven (four home runs). I’m expecting the Sunday trend to continue today and for Contreras to stay hot.
