Detroit Tigers vs. Kansas City Royals Same Game Parlay

Bobby Witt Jr. 2+ Total Bases

I love Bobby Wit Jr. today against Matt Manning. He has hit Manning very well in the past, going 3 for 6 with a double, and is swinging a very hot bat. Witt has 2 or more total bases in his last 6 games, hitting 8 extra-base hits over that span. In July, he recorded an insane .370 AVG and .434 ISO with 4 total home runs. Although Manning is coming off the best start of his career, he is still giving up a very high Hard Hit % and Barrel % this season. I’m expecting Bobby Witt Jr. to stay hot and get us another extra-base hit.

Riley Greene to Record a Hit

This is my favorite hitter on the slate to record a hit. Riley Greene has been great since his return from injury. Greene has recorded a hit in 4 of his last 5 games and is hitting .333 in that span. Historically, he has played extremely well vs KC, recording 1+ hit in 18 of 18 games. With it being a road game, he has an increased chance of 5+ plate appearances and with the struggling Jordan Lyles on the mound, I think he easily gets 5. When seeing 5+ PAs, Riley Greene has recorded a hit in 21 out of 24 games this season.

Kerry Carpenter to Record a Hit

I’m also backing the hot hitter Kerry Carpenter vs Jordan Lyles. Carpenter comes into this with a .375 AVG vs RHP since July 2nd and is 2 for 5 lifetime vs. Lyles with a homerun. Lyles has allowed a .267 AVG to left-handed batters this season, with his top 3 pitches to them being his 4-seam fastball, curveball, and changeup. Carpenter has .308 / .250 / .323 AVGs vs these 3 pitch types (vs RHP) this season.

Matt Manning 3+ Ks

I like Matt Manning to at least get us 3 strikeouts against Kansas City. Manning has recorded 5, 4, 4, 3, and 4 strikeouts in his 5 starts this season and will face a KC lineup that strikes out the 6th most against right-handed pitching over the last 30 days. He has struck out 4 and 3 in his last two matchups with KC and should not have any issues doing it again today.
