MLB Picks Today: Trusting the Dodgers and the Orioles

Well, I have two plays I want to dive into in this article, so I will keep the prologue here short and sweet. The theme of the article is simple: momentum. One squad is riding some into their game tonight in a big way, and the other squad is looking to regain it but is very capable of doing so, and I am ready to back them both tonight (and maybe parlay them at +255.)

Full disclosure, I did parlay them.

The Los Angeles Dodgers kept me up late last night in a sweaty, almost too-good-to-be-true victory, but man, it was worth it. Walk-off wins in extra innings are always exciting, and when you are on the ropes for the loss multiple times along the way, it really is exciting. Tonight Tony Gonsolin has the ball for Los Angeles, and I love the way he throws the rock. Kyle Kikuchi has historically been knocked around by Los Angeles as they are slashing for an .886 OPS against him; I love the Dodgers to ride that momentum into tonight.

The second game we are diving into is a game of vengeance, as the Baltimore Orioles blew a game late yesterday in the City of Brotherly Love. Standout starting pitcher Kyle Braddish has the ball for Baltimore, sporting a 3.05 ERA to go along with a winning record, and I expect a strong outing from him today. Ranger Suarez has the ball for the Philadelphia Phillies, sporting an ERA north of four and a 2-5 record. I love the way Baltimore hits lefties and the way they bounce back; look for them to get after this Southpaw early and play a good ball game.
