MLB Same-Game Parlay Picks Today: Mets vs. Yankees, Braves vs. Red Sox

ESPN has some enticing matchups featured on their platforms tonight.

The Mets will look to sweep the Yankees in a two-game series. Meanwhile, the Braves will take on the Red Sox on ESPN with Spencer Strider on the mound.

We've got a fun slate on our hands. Let's make money off it.

MLB Same-Game Parlays for Wednesday

Mets vs. Yankees Same-Game Parlay

  • Jose Quintana Under 3.5 Ks (+106)
  • Carlos Rodon Over 6.5 Ks (-120)
  • Mark Canha Over .5 Hits (-145)

It's the battle of lefties tonight.

Jose Quintana has thrown against 20 batters this season. He's allowed a .053 ISO and wOBA of .286 while allowing no walks. His strikeouts were down in his first start and likely will stay that way against the Yankees.

The Yankees have only struck out 21.7% of the time against lefties with their projected lineup over the last 30 days. They also have just three batters striking out more than 18.2% of the time against lefties.

On the other hand, Carlos Rodon's strikeout rate has dipped against righties dating back to last year. But the Mets have struck out 27% of the time against lefties over the previous month. Rodon has a lot of targets to earn strikeouts in this game and should return to form, especially going up against two lefties in the Mets' lineup.

Still, Mark Canha has hit a .250 ISO and wOBA of .340 against his last 29 lefties. He's not one of the seven candidates that will strike out at a high rate against Rodon. He's struck out 10.3% of the time against lefties. I'll look for him to earn a base hit against Rodon. He'll more than likely put the ball in play.

Braves vs. Red Sox Same-Game Parlay

3-Leg Same-Game Parlay Odds (+571) (Bet $100 to collect $671) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds for this pick

  • Spencer Strider Under 8.5 Ks (+104)
  • Ozzie Albies Over 1.5 Total Bases (-140)
  • Matt Olson Over 1.5 Total Bases (-120)

Spencer Strider is among the best strikeout pitchers the MLB has ever seen. But I'll take his under here.

The Red Sox lineup has struck out 22.7% of the time against righties but only has three batters striking out more than 20.4% of the time. He might earn high strikeouts against the other three batters in the lineup. But ultimately, Boston should put the ball in play more times than not against Strider.

On the other hand, Brayan Bello will get the start for the Red Sox. He's had a solid 2023. However, he's allowed a .392 ISO and wOBA of .454 to his last 55 lefties.

Ozzie Albies has hit a .301 ISO and wOBA of .366 against his last 87 righties. Meanwhile, Matt Olson has slugged a .304 ISO and wOBA of 429 against his last 79 righties. Stack the lefties against Bello tonight.
