Shohei Ohtani is one of the best pitchers in baseball. He is coming into today with an easy matchup against the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers currently rank in fifth worst in the year and eighth worst in the last 30 days versus right-handed pitchers. Ohtani is only behind Spencer Strider in strikeouts per inning, and he is averaging almost nine strikeouts in his last five outings. We just saw Griffin Canning strike out eight Tigers, so this shouldn't be a tough number for Shohei, who has reached his 7.5 line in 56% of his starts.
