The Atlanta Braves are coming off a tough loss last night against the Los Angeles Angels. They only managed to score one run, which is quite uncharacteristic of them this season. They’ll have a chance to bounce back as they face off against the lefty Patrick Sandoval. Sandoval has been solid in his last three starts (versus New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, and Detroit Tigers), but those games were against lineups incomparable to this Braves lineup.
The Braves rank first in wRC+ against lefties this season, and I think they will bounce back after a poor offensive performance. Sandoval has walked nine batters in his last three starts and has a high walk rate this season. If he has trouble finding the zone in this one, the Braves will make him pay. I like the Braves to win tonight, especially with their ace on the mound. I will be taking their moneyline as the first leg in my same-game parlay.
