OG’s that have been following for a while know how much money this has made us. Zack Greinke may have slowed down from being an ace to just another guy, but man he doesn’t walk people a lot.
Kansas City Royals vs. New York Mets Prediction
We’ll keep this one short because it’s a pretty straightforward bet. Greinke has walked a batter or less in 17 out of 20 games this season. An 85% hit rate at just -130 is an absolute no-brainer, regardless of the opponent.
Admittedly, the New York Mets walk more than the average team. If you’re familiar with Frank the Tanks postgame recaps, Daniel Vogelbach doesn’t even know how to swing the bat. Regardless, this number for Greinke is one I will blindly take every time I see it. The Mets walk the 12th most in the MLB, so they are in the top 40%.
The sportsbooks got smart and put Greinke walks at 0.5 for -250 most of the year, but they gave us a gift to kick off August. Let's hope it isn’t fools gold, and let's roll!
