This year, Mitch Keller was named an All-Star for the first time in his young career. He didn’t pitch like an All-Star coming out of the break, though, allowing 25 hits in his three second-half starts. Will we see “All-Star Keller” return to the mound against the struggling Atlanta Braves tonight?

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates Prediction
The Milwaukee Brewers have lost their hold of first place in the NL Central during this losing skid. The Brewers just lost a series against the lowly Washington Nationals. Besides Christian Yelich, their offense has taken a step back as a whole. This offense doesn’t scare me at all; they can’t even win one of the worst divisions in baseball. Losers of seven of their past ten expect the Brewers’ offense to continue to struggle.
The Pittsburgh Pirates' offense hasn’t been much better. Besides a short two-game outburst against the Phillies, it’s been hard for Pittsburgh to produce more than a handful of runs in any game. Tonight, they’ll face Adrian Houser, a 30-year-old veteran who they haven’t seen much of. The majority of this Pirates’ lineup has only faced him a couple of times, giving the advantage to Houser in this matchup.
Even if Houser doesn’t pitch a gem, the Brewers’ bullpen has been sneaky-good. They are in the top half in ERA and have one of the best pitchers in baseball closing games out (Devin Williams). Williams recorded only his third blown save of the season yesterday; expect him to bounce back with a scoreless frame to close this out.
Although I do think the Brewers win this game, I’d rather avoid the juice and play the under. Mitch Keller is due for a gem and has looked like one of the best pitchers in baseball at times this season. He showed signs of being “back” last week against the Phillies when he only let up two runs and recorded eight strikeouts. With 15 strikeouts in his last two starts, it appears Keller’s strikeout-stuff has returned.
Both of these offenses are underwhelming, to say the least. The Pirates might find a way to win this game, and if they do, it’ll be in a low-scoring battle. The way Pittsburgh has looked at the plate recently, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Brewers hold them scoreless tonight. Bet the under, and enjoy this “snooze-fest” of a game. Both starters should thrive against two of the worst-rated offenses in baseball.
