Well, we have a loaded slate on the diamond here on this fine Friday in August, and I like my chops over this board. There are a lot of great spots on the board here tonight, and I am ready to dive in, so without too prolonging this one any further today, let's dive in.
MLB Parlay Picks
Leg 1: Baltimore Orioles vs. New York Mets
To be blunt here, this is a great spot for the Baltimore Orioles and a terrible one for the New York Mets. The Orioles return to Camden Yards tonight tied for the lead in the AL East as well as tied for the best record in baseball; both ties are shared with the Tampa Bay Rays. Dean Kremer is 10-4 this season, and while he is not the best arm in Baltimore's rotation at all but has been solid all season long in regard to throwing the ball consistently and throwing the ball well at home.
Baltimore is 33-14 as the favorite facing a Mets squad that is 9-25 when listed as the money line dog. David Peterson has struggled all season long, and the Southpaw enters this contest with a 5.92 ERA to go along with a WHIP north of 1.5. I expect a really talented squad to take care of business at home and get after this lefty like they usually do.
Leg 2: Philadelphia Phillies vs. Kansas City Royals
The second leg of our parlay takes us to the City of Brotherly Love as the Kansas City Royals visit the Phillies. I will keep this leg of the write-up short and sweet. The Royals are awful, and Jordan Lyles is an automatic fade. At 2-12 with a 6.15 ERA, I will fade him again and again. I do not care if Aaron Nola has not been his normal spectacular self, he still is an elite arm, and I love when he has the ball at home.
