The veteran right-hander was recently given a change in scenery after the Chicago White Sox shipped him to Los Angeles. However, the jersey switch didn't help him on the mound, as he gave up three solo home runs against the Oakland Athletics in his Los Angeles Dodgers debut.
Lynn has allowed three or more earned runs in 17 of his 22 starts and 10 of his 12 road starts. He is allowing an average of four earned runs per start, and with the San Diego Padres' powerful lineup on tap, that average is unlikely to improve.
San Diego has hit 144 home runs this season which is good for ninth-best in the league. Over the last month, their offense ranks 11th in wRC+ (108) and will be coming into this game with some momentum after scoring eight or more runs in three of their last four.
