MLB Parlay Picks: Trusting the Braves and the Rangers
Well, we had a solid week last week and finished off strong with a profitable Sunday, and I am ready to ride that momentum into a fresh week with a solid slate here on Monday night. We are going to play things a bit square here for our first play tonight, but sometimes you do not need the razzle-dazzle, the simple wager is the way to go. There are a few ways you could go with playing two sides together tonight with a lot of advantageous matchups for some of the better squads in the league, so let's dive into one of the ways I am playing things tonight.
Leg 1: Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Atlanta Braves
This is so square, and I do not care at all; it is the right side of this wager every night unless you are a value nut. The Atlanta Braves are 70-39 and sending stud Spencer Strider to the mound tonight in the opening game of this series with a struggling Pittsburgh Pirates squad. Strider is 12-3 with a 3.61 ERA and a lot of offensive firepower to back him up. Atlanta is the second-best team in terms of run differential in the league sitting at +163 on the year and coming off of back-to-back losses, and I love them to get back on track tonight.
Leg 2: Oakland Athletics vs. Texas Rangers
For the second leg of this wager, we are going to Oakland as the spiraling Athletics host the thriving Rangers from Texas. Oakland did win their last two games, but at 32-80 on the year, I wouldn't expect a run here to start against Texas. The Rangers have won six straight and are 68-46 on the season, with the highest run differential in the league at +170. Dane Dunning is 9-4 with a 3.14 ERA squaring off against Ken Waldichuk, sporting a 6.52 ERA with a 2-7 record on the year.
