Today’s play will be targeting Freddie Freeman. I like Freddie’s spot today against Brandon Pfaadt. Pfaadt has struggled this season, especially against left-handed batters, where he is allowing a .305 AVG and .295 ISO against. He ranks in the bottom fifth percentile in barrel % as well, which is great news for Freddie Freeman and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Freddie comes into this game on fire, going for 2+ hits in six of his last eight games. He has been getting on base at a crazy rate these past few weeks and has been scoring a ton of runs, especially on the road. He has a run in 15 of his last 19 games, with 2+ runs in 10 of his last 19 games. This number improves on the road, where he has a run in nine of the last ten games and 2+ runs in seven of the last ten games.
He has scored one run in four of his last five games at Arizona and 2+ runs in two of the last four there. I am expecting Freddie to see 5+ plate appearances as well. In games that he has 5+ plate appearances, Freddie has a run in 11 of his last 12 games and 2+ runs in eight of the last 12.
I am adding J.D. Martinez to record one RBI with Freddie for two runs as the last ladder step for a few reasons. They are both very correlated legs, and J.D. Martinez could hit Freddie home for an RBI. I expect one RBI at least for J.D., as he has an RBI in 12 of his last 18 games and in four out of four games at Arizona this season. He also hits much better on the road this season, owning a .292 AVG and .338 ISO versus right-handed pitching.
