Jon Gray has really struggled with command as of late and has issued 2+ walks in seven of his last eight outings. On the season, Gray has walked at least two batters in 13 out of 20 starts.

Today, he will face a Giants team that has the third-highest walk rate against right-handed pitchers (9.9%) this season. Over the last two weeks, that number has increased to 15.1%, and four straight opposing right-handed starters have issued 3+ walks. Shohei Ohtani (three walks), Lucas Giolito (three), Luis Medina (five), Paul Blackburn (three). If Gray struggles to find the strike zone again tonight, the Giants have shown they are more than willing to take their walks.
Corey Seager has put on a hitting clinic this season. On the year, he has a .353 batting average having success against both right/left-handed pitchers, multiple hits in five of the last seven games, a home run in six of the last nine, and at least one hit in 22 of the last 25 games. He is coming into this game rested, with the Rangers not playing yesterday and after having the day off against the Athletics on Wednesday.
