Fading the Oakland Athletics is always an easy decision. They have the least runs in all of baseball, with just 420. They average just 3.5 runs per game and have scored three or fewer runs in 10 of their last 12 games.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Oakland Athletics Prediction

Miles Mikolas may not be an elite pitcher, but he’s serviceable most of the time. He has allowed two earned runs or less in 13 of his last 20 games. In his most recent two starts, he allowed two earned runs both times against much more competitive opponents in the Tampa Bay Rays and Minnesota Twins.

Oakland is 33-85 for a reason, and St. Louis is a longshot for the postseason, but in their own heads, they still have something to play for. I like Mikolas to go six innings here and allow a run or maybe two. Either way, just don’t allow three or more, and we’re gravy. Let's roll!
