I know we normally hate this market, but I can’t not take this one. The Reds are -175 favorites and should open this game with a lead on paper. Cincinnati faces Noah Syndergaard who is just not pitching like himself this year.
Cincinnati Reds vs. Cleveland Guardians Prediction
Syndergaard holds a poor 6.35 ERA and an even more embarrassing 9.21 road ERA. Although Noah has looked slightly better as of late, he is still in for a tough time tonight. The Reds' offense last time against him scored six runs in just three innings. Cincinnati is due after a stinker last night failing to score.
On the mound for Cincinnati is the rookie Andrew Abbott and he’s been stellar with a 2.95 ERA and an even better home ERA of 2.75. The young man is making bats pay, and Cleveland isn’t the scariest team he has faced at all. The Guardians are only hitting .230 against left-handed pitching on the season.
I think we have the better bats and the better pitcher. I don’t see the Reds dropping two in a row against Cleveland so I expect them to come out hot. Let's roll!
