Well, we have a loaded slate once again today, and I am ready to dive into the early game I am digging today. The Miami Marlins are hosting the Houston Astros in the final game of this three-game interleague series, and I am rolling with Houston in the rubber match in South Florida.

Miami Marlins vs. Houston Astros Prediction
Houston looked lackadaisical once Miami took a multiple-run lead, but last game, they looked like the squad we all know they are. They were relentless at the plate extending the lead and regaining it once Miami tied it up in the final third of the game. Tonight I expect a similar performance from the Houston Bats as Jesus Luzardo has the ball for the Marlins. After a hot start to the season, he has struggled immensely as of late and has gotten torched in his last few starts. In his last three outings, he has conceded 15 earned runs on 23 hits and is coming off the worst outing of them all.
Normally regression goes both ways; when a guy is playing over his head, you expect him to fall back to earth. On the flip side, a guy playing way worse than normal is expected to bounce back. Normally you’d expect the latter here after a few bad starts, but Houston is simply not the team to get right again.
On the flip side, Cy Young winner and future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander has the ball for Houston, and I love that he is back in Texas. The 40-year-old is not the 100 mph, 300 strike-out guy he was in Detroit, but he has looked great since being back with Houston, and I really think his season has a revival in Texas. Love this spot at this line.
