I love the spot for Matt Olson today. He will see the righty Alex Cobb who has struggled immensely as of late. Cobb has allowed 3+ runs in four of his last five starts, including 5+ runs in three of those. He has allowed six home runs in his last three starts and is allowing a .304 road AVG this season. I think the hitters in front of Olson will be able to get on base today and set him up for plenty of at-bats with runners in scoring position, where Olson thrives. He owns a .333 AVG and a .469 ISO with runners in scoring position. He also has extremely good numbers to the top 2 pitches that Alex Cobb will throw to him. These two main pitches are Cobb’s splitter and his sinker. I have listed Olson’s numbers for these two pitches against right-handed pitching below.

I think Olson barrels one up and has a great chance to hit a home run in today’s game, hopefully with runners on base. For this reason, I am taking his RBIs and laddering them up to four.
