Drew Smyly has struck out 28.8% of batters over the last month. However, he was removed from the starting rotation for a little bit due to allowing a .299 ISO and wOBA of .387 in the previous 30 days.
The veteran lefty will get another chance tonight. He's facing a Tigers lineup that has hit a .073 ISO and wOBA of .273 over the last month. This same projected lineup has struck out 28.1% of the time against lefties in the previous 30 days.
Smyly could put together a quality start and earn at least five strikeouts. If he lasts in the game, the strikeouts will stack up.
