The last wager we are going to dive into tonight takes us down to the Lone Star State as the Houston Astros host the Boston Red Sox in the final game of this interleague series. I am actually excited for this one as we have two good offensive squads going at it, so let's dive in.

Houston Astros vs. Boston Red Sox Prediction

Both of these squads have been trending over lately, but it is better than just a trend that is hitting because there is some truth behind it; both teams are contributing, so I am not worried about one squad having to carry all the weight here tonight. Houston is 7-3 across their last ten for the total and Boston counters at 6-4. 6-4 doesn't sound like a crazy split, but it sounds a lot better when you realize that the over has now hit in five straight games for them, with Houston countering with four.

The Red Sox have such a tough task this season with a hyper-competitive division, but the only thing they can try to do is keep winning and get lucky in the end. Having dropped the first two games of this series, I expect the bats to attack Jose Urquidy, who is not having his best season with a 5.21 ERA and a losing record.

On the flip side, Chris Sale has the ball for Boston, and while the southpaw is one of my favorite pitchers in the modern era, he has been plagued with injuries and is sporting a 4.51 ERA this year. I think both squads swing the bats tonight, and for that reason, we are on the total.
