5 minBoston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction: Should You Fade Kutter Crawford, Lance Lynn Tonight?
Since coming over from the horrid Chicago White Sox, Lance Lynn has pitched unbelievably for the Dodgers. The 36-year-old veteran carries a 1.44 ERA and three wins through four outings with Los Angeles. He will face his toughest challenge tonight since putting on the historic blue and white as the Dodgers head to Boston.

Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction
Lynn has pitched great against the Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, Colorado Rockies, and Milwaukee Brewers. Let’s see him face this red-hot Boston lineup in one of the most hitter-friendly ballparks in baseball. The Red Sox just scored 17 runs against the Houston Astros and dropped seven runs the night prior. Boston is one of the streakiest teams in baseball, but if you can catch them at the beginning of a good run, you can profit before the books catch on.
I’m not saying you should fade the Dodgers, one of the hottest teams in baseball… what I am saying is that Lance Lynn is going to get destroyed tonight. The Red Sox are locked in at the plate and have a great matchup against the veteran.
Lynn won’t be the only starting pitcher having a tough time in this matchup. Kutter Crawford is coming off his best start of the season, much like Lance Lynn, but the 27-year-old righty has yet to establish any sort of consistency in the majors. The Dodgers have one of the hottest and best lineups in all of baseball, and I’m willing to bet both starting pitchers don’t make it through the fifth inning tonight.
Right now, the Dodgers and Red Sox are two of the hottest lineups in baseball. That might not be the case a week from now, seeing as these are two of the streakiest offenses in baseball, but right now, they are. When I saw the total in this game open at 10.5, I was initially shocked, considering both starters are coming off debatably their best starts of the season. Anyone who follows baseball knows that, more often than not, pitchers of this caliber will follow a gem of an outing up with a dud.
Fenway Park has always been known to have some of the most hitter-friendly ballpark conditions. This year, with the new lights installed before the season, runs have been flowing. The over is 8-2 in Boston’s last ten home games. Bet the over and fade two mediocre arms coming off their best outings of the season.
