The Orioles are still riding their high from clinching a playoff spot against the Rays on Sunday. They pulled out an impressive 8-7 victory against Justin Verlander last night, and I’m expecting another “hit parade” in tonight’s contest. The public will be betting the under with Kyle Gibson, the O’s workhorse, and Hunter Brown coming off five no-hit innings. Let’s fade these two arms, and back two of the best offenses in baseball as we inch closer to postseason play.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Houston Astros Prediction
Yes, Hunter Brown threw five “no-hit” innings in his last start, but it was against Oakland, the worst team in baseball. He will face a much better lineup tonight. The Orioles might have the best offense in the AL. Adley Rutschman and the rest of this O’s lineup have seen Hunter Brown a handful of times. The majority of this underrated lineup is either 2-3 or 1-3 against Brown in their young careers. This is a great sell-high spot for Brown after a great outing against Oakland.
The Orioles won’t be the only offense scoring tonight. Kyle Gibson clocked in a solid start in his last outing, but he’s struggled overall in the second half of the season. Maybe the 175+ innings are getting to the 35-year-old veteran…
Houston’s offense is locked in, as they’ve scored more than seven runs in two of their last three games. Yordan Alvarez is one of the best hitters in baseball when he’s healthy, and he has another prime matchup against a soft-throwing righty tonight. Expect Yordan to carry this offense tonight: the 6’5” lefty is on fire right now.
With the juice on the total on the rise, bet the over before we see this total hit double digits. We saw plenty of offense in last night’s season opener, tonight should be much of the same. Back two of the best offenses in the AL to showcase their talents in Houston tonight. I’d bet this over at 13.5 if I had to. The Astros are as locked in at the plate as they’ve been all season, and the O’s keep on scoring.
