It's Game 1 in four games for the NL and AL Wild Card series. Some teams are throwing their aces out in Game 1. Others are trying to get by Game 1 to have their best pitchers in Games 2 and 3 in the Wild Card series. Either way, I've found some ideal matchups for today's strikeout props in the MLB Playoffs.

Tyler Glasnow will take the hill for the Tampa Bay Rays today. He's a right-handed pitcher, earning 39.3% of strikeouts over the last month. Glasnow has also thrown about 89 pitches per start over the last 30 days. He'll face a Rangers projected lineup that has struck out nearly 24% of the time in the last 30 days. They've got six batters striking out at least 23.9% of the time and three at least 28.6% against righties in the previous month. If Glasnow goes six innings, he'll earn eight strikeouts.

The Rays will pitch Kevin Gausman for Game 1 of the AL Wild Card series against the Twins. Gausman has struggled badly against lefties and will take on a Twins lineup that has hit a .221 ISO and wOBA of .357 over the last month. Minnesota has a sneaky lineup, with five players striking out 21.5% of the time or fewer against righties. The lineup also has eight batters hitting an above-average ISO and eight batters with an above-average wOBA against righties in the last 30 days. I don't think Gausman lasts more than five innings. Corbin Burnes is a true ace for the Brewers. He's struck out 29.5% of batters in the last month and has held teams to a .135 ISO and wOBA of .250 in the previous 30 days. But he's not going to fool the Diamondbacks very much tonight. Arizona has collectively struck out just 19.2% of the time against righties in the last 30 days. Only one batter in the projected lineup has struck out more than 22.1% of the time against righties. Arizona doesn't have much power in the bottom portion of the order. But that group at least puts the ball in play. Take Burnes to go Under 5.5 Ks.
